We are Cane Republic, a UK-based business founded by Mary Ow. Our handmade bags are ethically sourced and woven by the women of the Penan tribe - an indigenous people from Borneo. We work with the Penan Women Project (PWP) to provide the Penan with a regular source of income and a better quality of life.
